STRESS IS THAT YOU?

Writer: GIGIGIGI

Did you know that stress can come from both within ourselves (endogenous) and from external sources (exogenous)? 🤔

Endogenous stress refers to the stress that originates from our own internal thoughts, emotions, and bodily processes. It's like a little voice inside our heads, constantly reminding us of our worries, fears, or self-doubts 🧠

On the other hand, exogenous stress is the stress that comes from the outside world. It can be triggered by various factors such as work pressure, relationship challenges, or even unexpected events. Exogenous stressors often test our resilience and ability to adapt to new situations. 💼

Here's the interesting part: whether the type of stress is actual, anticipated, or imagined, our bodies react in the same way. 🙌

When we experience stress, our body's stress response system kicks into action, releasing stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline.

This physiological response prepares us to fight or flee from perceived threats, whether they are real or not. So, even if it's just a vivid imagination triggering the stress response, our bodies still react as if it were happening in real life!

Fortunately, our bodies are equipped with an incredible mechanism called allostasis, which helps us maintain stability and balance in the face of stress. Allostasis allows us to adapt to different stressors and regulate our bodily functions to cope with the demands of the situation. It's like an internal superhero that helps us stay resilient and navigate through life's challenges. 💫

Building resilience is key to navigating through life's challenges. It involves developing coping skills, fostering social support networks, and nurturing a growth mindset. Resilience is like a superpower that allows us to bounce back from tough situations and find strength within ourselves. It's about embracing the challenges, learning from them, and growing stronger as a result💥
